MENTION BUDDHA TO BUDDHA
AND YOU HAVE TO MENTION BALI
Since then, more than twenty years have passed and Bali continues to be the place where Buddha to Buddha jewellery is made. Here, silver handicraft is typically a family affair and more than 400 families are involved in the production. With angelic patience the craftsmen produce jewellery of such rare refinement as you will hardly find anywhere else. Their fantastic handicraft enables them to produce the most intricate designs. This in turn creates a very special form of interaction between the designers and the Balinese craftsmen. Their relationship with Bali is much more profound than that of the average employer. They feel strongly connected to the Balinese craftsmen and their families and have come to know many of them intimately. As a counterweight to the incredible precision, love and patience with which the silversmiths make the jewellery, they try to support the Balinese community wherever they can. An example of this is their support of the Bali Children Foundation, which provides education for underprivileged children.
